Fear & Misery of the Third Reich

Fear & Misery of the Third Reich

A group of people fleeing from the persecution
of the Nazis arrive in a deserted theatre in Amsterdam
that had recently been used as a deportation centre for
onward transportation to concentration camps. Walter
Suskind, the former Theatre Manager, a German Jew
himself, saving hundreds of Jews, mainly children,
conceals these refugees, who, finding scripts for the
Brecht play, enact three scenes whilst in hiding.

This production was for the 65th (and last) Woking Drama Festival.
