The committee is made up of friendly faces who get stuck into most shows.
The committee makes decisions on the shows that will be preformed, as well as organise all social events and outings. The committee is elected annually by members at the AGM. We are always looking for extra hands, so If you would like to join the committee or want to know more of what its about, come and talk to us (we don't bite, promise!)
Chairperson and Publicity: Marie Gardner
Marie's job is to chair the committee meetings, keep the group growing and to keep audiences coming in to see our shows.
Over the years she has performed in a variety of roles and has directed a numerous sell out shows.
In the outside world, Marie is a Learning and Development Manager and she fills the rest of her spare time (Ha-Ha!) as a keen runner and playing tennis.

Inspirational information about Dino coming soon...
Web Secretary and Co-Membership Secretary: Sarah Blacker
Web Guru by day, Stage manager by night. Opinionated cake lover, giraffe enthusiast & cross stitcher extraordinaire!
Sarah can often be found dressed all in black herding actors. Sarah has been a Prankster since 2011 when she came to paint faces and hasn't been allowed to leave since.
It has been said her skills are limitless... but only by her.
Co-Membership Secretary and Sponsership - Jenny Swift
Jenny has acted and directed for many years with Pranksters and Bramley Players. Most recently she directed The Railway Children.
Recent roles have been Mme Ranevsky in the Cherry Orchard, Vera in Brassed Off, and Nursie in Blackadder.
She being a prankster she has discovered during that she works best on eating lot of chocolate - Chocs, Cake or Biscuits!
Barn Tsar - Ian McShee
Ian is a newbie to amateur theatre, having been a resting actor since his university years. Mac was tempted out of his theatrical hibernation by the Pranksters staging one of his favourite plays, Pirandello’s Six Characters, in 2016. He is now thoroughly enjoying being part of the Pranksters family, especially since that family gave him a chopper bike to ride in As You Like It. A qualified accountant, Mac works as group reporting manager for a pharmaceutical company, confirming it’s the little things in life that count.
Co-Social Secretary: Emily Quinton-Zorn
Emily joined the Pranksters in 2016 when she was cast as Phyllis in the Railway Children. Since then she has played the roles of a tortured Stepdaughter in Six Characters, and a confused lover of the cross-dressing Rosalind in As You Like It.
She loves the variety of roles the Pranksters allows her to play and it has been said that she can always be found centre stage and loves the limelight – not by her though! Now social secretary, she hopes to keep her Pranksters family entertained and happy between working hard for productions!
Co-Social Secretary: Jez Gooding
Jez has been a prankster since 2014, appearing in a number of productions, starting with Death by Fatal Murder and most recently in As you Like it at the Castle Grounds. Not afraid to strip off when the occasion demands it (it's art damn it!).
Additional Committee Members:
Tech: Leo Lyon
Leo lights up our world... and our stages! He has been a prankster nearly 40 years and provides vital tech knowledge to the group. He is responsible for the lighting of each of our shows and joins the committee to provide much common sense!
General: Kate Webb
Kate has been a member of Pranksters since nearly the very beginning, playing a dotty spinster who got drunk in the dark in "Black Comedy".
She was the group secretary for over 20 years and after a long break has now come back on the committee to lend them all the wisdom of her great age (ahem...!). She has been in numerous productions over the years and is looking forward to being in plenty more, although the young ingenues might be a bit beyond her now!
